Banana Bread, Second Chances and Education

Second chances aren’t just part of Banana Brat's story — they are the story. This whole project was born from the belief that transformation can happen anywhere, and that something overripe or imperfect can still be made into something sweet. That’s why supporting Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison means so much to me.

Hudson Link provides higher education and reentry support for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people. Their mission goes beyond education — it’s about restoring dignity, opportunity, and hope. Experiencing this firsthand, Banana Brat  stands for more than good banana bread. I want it to be a small way to give back to the community that helped me rebuild my life and rediscover creativity, purpose, and pride.

That’s why 5% of all proceeds from Banana Brat go to Hudson Link. Every loaf represents the idea that no one is defined by their worst mistake — that we can always learn, grow, and start again.
